About MK Products, Inc.
Based in Irvine, California, MK Products, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of advanced Push-Pull MIG welding guns, wire feeders, power sources, positioners, and orbital welding systems. Since our founding in the early 1960s by welding innovator Mike Kensrue, MK has remained dedicated to improving welding efficiency, precision, and reliability. What began in a garage with the invention of the first Push-Pull system quickly evolved into the development of the Cobramatic® wire feeder and Cobra® MIG gun—revolutionizing aluminum welding worldwide.
Over six decades later, MK continues to pioneer welding technology under third-generation leadership. All of our products are 100% assembled in the U.S.A. and our facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified, reflecting our commitment to uncompromising quality. From our line of MIG welding guns—Python®, Prince® XL, Cobra® MX, Cobra SX, and Cobramatic® feeders—to our Spool Guns (PXL, Prince SG, and MiniSpool™) and Orbital TIG systems(CobraTig® 150, Advanced Color Logic®, CopperHead®, DiamondBack®, and MiniMicro™ weldheads), every product is assembled and tested in-house for maximum performance and reliability.
At MK Products, we take pride in maintaining full control over our manufacturing process—from design to final assembly. Each product line is built on dedicated assembly benches that move efficiently from start to finish, and 100% of our products are fully tested—never spot-checked. Our engineering department utilizes advanced 3D CAD workstations to design, simulate, and prototype components, with direct integration to CNC machines and 3D model printers for rapid development. This allows us to literally design a part one day and have a working prototype the next.
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility features Mori Seiki NH5000 horizontal mills, Haas CNC mills and lathes, and an integrated computer-controlled production system—eliminating setup delays and maximizing output. The result is an exceptionally clean, organized, and safe work environment maintained by a dedicated in-house team.
In 2025, MK Products expanded its legacy of innovation by acquiring Tec Welding Products, a respected TIG torch manufacturer founded in 1955. Tec pioneered many of the features now standard in the industry—such as clear gas nozzles, bulb-style designs, plastic-sheathed cable assemblies, zipper cable covers, and high-dielectric silicone insulation. Its iconic torch lines—Speedway™, i-Head™, and Rocker™—now proudly continue under the MK Products name.
